T.O. Remembers: Stories from November 2018
On Nov. 8, 2019, the community gathered for a storytelling experience to remember and honor the lives of those we lost and take time to reflect upon and listen to stories and experiences from November 2018. Proceeds from the event were donated to the Interface Children and Family Services to go toward their long-term recover efforts for both those affect by Borderline and those affected by the Hill and Woolsey Fires.

We’d like to thank Captain Don Aguilar, Chanda Losey, Alexis Tait, Ventura County Firefighter Chris Sharp and Michael Morisette for sharing their stories with the community. Your bravery and vulnerability as you shared your perspectives and experiences are to be respected and honored.
We’d also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mika Lynch, Alex Nester and Paige Peel for the incredibly moving medley of songs performed at the beginning of the event to honor those we lost.
We’re also thankful for the California Dance Theatre and the Thousand Oaks High School Vocal Ensemble for inspiring, emotional performances that gave the community time to reflect.
And, thank you to Ventura County Behavioral Health, who was on-site, offering support and resources.
